The Nationals Member for Gippsland South Danny O’Brien is encouraging local volunteers to take part in consultation currently underway to shape the new Victorian Volunteer Strategy.
Mr O’Brien said the new strategy will aim to ensure Victorians have all the support they need to help others.
“My experience has always been that Gippslanders are a very generous bunch who willingly give their time and money to help others,” Mr O’Brien said.
“This is an opportunity for those volunteers to speak up about what the Government can do better to help them help others.
“Consultation has already begun with online consultation open for submissions.
“A consultation workshop will also be taking place in Bairnsdale on 11 March.”
Anyone wishing to make an online submission or register their interest in attending a consultation workshop can do so at https://www.volunteer.vic.gov.au/victorian-volunteer-strategy.
