A Real Plan To Stop The Waste

Our Ten Year Economic Plan will get Victoria back into surplus so the next generation isn’t left with the debt from Labor’s wasteful and corrupt spending and return the budget to surplus by 2032. We’ll crack down on the $15 billion of CFMEU corruption while freezing the hiring of back-office public servants and scrapping Labor’s divisive Treaty to help save billions of dollars. We will ensure resources and funding is directed where they’re needed most.

Financial Integrity. Tracked and Transparent Spending.

The Nationals will restore integrity and transparency to how Victoria’s money is spent. We will establish a Royal Commission into CFMEU misconduct, backed by tough new laws and a joint police taskforce to recover stolen taxpayer money from Big Build sites. A new Construction Enforcement Victoria will uphold integrity on taxpayer-funded worksites, while a legislated Charter of Budget Honesty and a real-time Public Expenditure Tracker will ensure Victorians can see exactly where their money is going.

Sensible Reforms to Get Back into Balance

Under The Nationals, sky-high executive pay in the public service will be capped so less is spent on top bureaucrats and more goes to frontline services, supporting our essential workers like paramedics, police officers, nurses and teachers. And we’ll lift the payroll tax-free threshold so that small and family businesses will pay less payroll tax, helping them hire more locals and keep doors open in towns across Victoria.
