Nationals Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy will put concerns from regional communities at the forefront as the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council sits in early February.
Mr McCurdy said, “The Victorian Government has overlooked regional roads and transport, regional health and even education for far too long.
“Melbourne’s “big build” and the Victorian Governments $150 Billion dollar debt means regional Victorians are paying the price.
“This year, I will send a message to the Premier that Victoria does not stop at Kalkallo and that regional communities have needs too.”
He continued, “for instance, our Public Transport system is old and fatigued and some smaller towns have no access to transport at all.
“Then there’s road maintenance cuts and considerable delays in ambulance wait times.”
Mr McCurdy added, “I encourage all local community members to highlight issues in your community so we can petition to the Government to provide more assistance to our small country towns.
“Please contact my office on 03 5721 6155 or email me at: Tim.McCurdy@parliament.vic.gov.au, so we can plan a strategy to have your collective voices heard.”
