The façade of teals campaigning as “independent” candidates has been blown away in a rare gust of honesty.
The Teal Party candidate for Mornington, Kate Lardner, has admitted to the ABC that far from being independents the teals are a “movement”.
“The movement is exactly that: it’s a movement. So, it’s people with aligned values, striving to achieve a shared vision,” Dr Lardner said.
As Ms Lardner admits Teal Party candidates have aligned values and a shared vision which is no different to candidates from any political party be it Liberal, Labor or any other party.
The fact is the Teal Party has a financial support via Climate 200 and to get that support they must align with Climate 200’s values as Simon Holmes a Court admits in his booklet The Big Teal.
Further as the ABC article made clear “Climate 200 is directing supporters to donate to candidates in Hawthorn, Kew, Caulfield and Mornington”.
Climate 200 also funds research for the Teals and provides support services.
No one should be conned by Teal Party candidates that they are just a “movement”.
Teal Party candidates are politicians in politicians’ garb trying to cloak themselves as non-politicians while seeking power for its own sake.
Their only purpose is to empower themselves and to assist Labor win.
That’s what the entire project is about – it’s about power and delivering a Labor government.
