The Nationals’ Member for Eastern Victoria, Melina Bath is encouraging locals to take advantage of the latest round of the Power Saving Bonus before applications close at the end of March.
The $100 payment is available to all eligible households, including those who received the bonus in previous rounds.
Ms Bath said the bonus was a simple way for concession card holders to receive some needed relief from rising energy bills.
“Many locals may have already applied since the program opened last August, but if you haven’t yet done so, it pays to check your eligibility and submit your application before the deadline.
“Every little bit helps right now, and this rebate can help householders manage bill stress from rising energy prices.
“It’s one of the quickest applications you can make, and it’s worth the short time it takes to complete the online form – every bit helps when budgets are stretched thin.”
To apply, eligible households will need a recent residential electricity bill and must hold a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card, or Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card.
Applications close on 31 March 2026. For further information, eligibility criteria and to apply, visit the Victorian Energy Compare website at https://compare.energy.vic.gov.au.
Locals who need assistance completing their application are welcome to visit Ms Bath’s office at 181 Franklin Street, Traralgon.
