The Nationals’ Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy, is encouraging local angling clubs to apply for funding through the Stronger Fishing Clubs Grant Program.
The program offers grants of up to $10,000 per club to support projects such as:
- fishing tuition for multicultural groups, women, First Nations people and all-abilities participants
- club open days
- member training and public events
- guest speaker nights
- club IT upgrades
- club website development
- clubroom improvements
- equipment that benefits all members
“Fishing is a great, low-cost recreational activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family,” Ms Kealy said.
“This program helps clubs make small but meaningful improvements that encourage more people to get involved and enjoy the many benefits of fishing, and I encourage our local fishing groups to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Applications for the 2025–26 funding round are now open and will close on November 30.
