The Nationals will deliver a 25 percent Regional Infrastructure Funding Guarantee for all new state infrastructure spending.

Our Regional Infrastructure Funding Guarantee will see much-needed investment into our neglected hospitals, schools, childcare facilities, roads and rail.

Regional Victoria is home to 25 percent of our state’s population, but we only received 13 percent of infrastructure spending in Labor’s last budget.

On major projects, the Andrews Labor Government spends only $7,142 per person in the regions, and a whopping $15,268 per person in Melbourne – more than double.

That’s the type of chronic under-investment our regions receive when we risk Labor and Independents.

In their first budget, more than 85 percent of new infrastructure spending was committed to the Cheltenham to Box Hill railway line – a Melbourne mega-project that will do nothing for most Victorians.

Federally, the Albanese Labor Government is already gutting regional Victoria of funding and ignoring our communities to pay for projects in major cities.

It’s only fair that we get our share of funding for safer roads, more efficient rail, more effective hospitals, and better schools in regional Victoria. That’s exactly what The Nationals will deliver with our Regional Infrastructure Funding Guarantee.

After years of Labor neglect, The Nationals and our Regional Infrastructure Funding Guarantee will see unprecedented investment into regional health infrastructure.

That includes a new $750 million hospital in Mildura, $100 million for an Integrated Cancer Centre and Clinical Health School at Goulburn Valley Health, a new $400 million West Gippsland Hospital, $30 million to build and upgrade facilities in the Wimmera, $300 million to finish Wonthaggi Hospital, and more.

We will deliver a long-term $10 billion investment for better roads, because safer country roads save country lives.

We will deliver better schools for our children, because our postcode should never define our education.

And, we will deliver better community facilities, because our regional cities and towns matter too.

This November there is a clear choice – more neglect from the Andrews Labor Government, or fair investment into regional Victoria under The Nationals and our 25 percent Regional Infrastructure Funding Guarantee.
