Today in Question Time, I asked the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, Melissa Horne, why a company linked to bikies and underworld figures had been accredited by the government to work on state managed roads.
Minister Horne responded by saying the question should be directed to the Minister responsible for the independent Labour Hire Authority.
This is 100 per cent wrong.
The question was deliberately asked to Minister Horne as it is her Department of Transport and Planning that accredits traffic management companies for work on government jobs.
Ms Horne’s embarrassing response shows she clearly doesn’t know her own portfolio and the responsibilities that lie within it.
It’s also evidence of Labor’s appalling, dismissive attitude towards the CFMEU rorts that have cost Victorians taxpayers $15 billion dollars.
Labor’s CFMEU corruption crisis is getting worse by the day, and it’s hardworking Victorians who are paying the price.
