Nationals Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy is encouraging the Victorian Parliament to get behind regional manufacturing businesses as they struggle to get back on their feet after the ongoing implications of Covid-19.
Mr McCurdy said, “in 2022, local manufacturing businesses not only face the struggle of finding and maintaining staff members but ensuring that their business adapts accordingly so they can keep up with the demands of the manufacturing sector.”
He continued, “I recently met with a local resident who owns manufacturing businesses in both the Yarrawonga and Albury region.
“This local business owner was concerned that without enough staff, or enough money to expand their business infrastructure, they will struggle to meet the demands of their business.
“To keep customers and ensure their business continues to grow, regional manufacturing business owners need more help.”
Mr McCurdy said he will continue to push for more financial support to regional manufacturing areas.
