A desperate Labor Government is trying to hoodwink Victorians and farmers by putting off a big tax hit from the new emergency services tax until after the state election.
Victorians should be under no illusion that Labor still plans to whack them with a $3 billion new tax over coming years. Indeed, most Victorians are already paying it.
Farmers will still face a 150 per cent increase in their levy and rental providers and renters will be slugged a new fixed charge if a Labor Government is returned in 2026.
Only Liberal and Nationals Government will ease the cost-of-living for all Victorians by scrapping Labor’s emergency services tax and returning to the previous fire services property levy.
