A Jess Wilson-led Liberal and Nationals Government will fund a new pumper truck for the
Inverloch Country Fire Authority (CFA), replacing the brigade’s ageing 27-year-old vehicle.
This is part of the Liberals and Nationals’ $200 million plan for the CFA, which includes 335 new
CFA trucks and 17 new and upgraded CFA stations.
Leader of the Nationals and Shadow Minister for Emergency Services, Danny O’Brien, said regional
Victorians had been let down by Labor for too long.
“Under 12 years of Labor, our regions have been neglected, and emergency services are no
exception.
“Our CFA volunteers do an incredible job, but they need the right equipment and resources to
keep our communities safe.
“This commitment is about making sure Inverloch gets its fair share.”
Liberal candidate for Bass, Rochelle Halstead, said the new pumper truck would be an important
investment in the safety of the local community.
“CFA volunteers put themselves on the line to protect Victorian communities, and they deserve
equipment they can rely on when emergencies strike.
“Inverloch’s current pumper truck is 27 years old. Our emergency services volunteers should not
have to rely on ageing equipment to do such an important job.
“A Jess Wilson-led Liberal and Nationals Government will stand up for regional Victoria and deliver
the practical investments our communities need.”
Member for Eastern Victoria, Melina Bath, said the commitment would ensure local CFA volunteers
had the modern equipment they need to protect their community.
“Local CFA volunteers are there for our community when we need them most. They deserve
modern, reliable equipment to help them do their job safely and effectively.
“Only a Liberal and Nationals Government will give regional communities the support and
investment they deserve.”
