Cost-of-living continues to bite with Victorians forced to pay more for groceries, household bills and struggle under the pressure of Labor’s 60 new or increased taxes.
Of these new taxes, 30 are levied on property, adding a staggering $373,000 to the cost of an average house and land package.
It’s painful to think you could spend the first 10 years of your mortgage simply paying off Allan Labor Government taxes.
And then there’s the new fire services tax that Premier Allan is rushing through Parliament this week. This will lead to Victorians having to pay another $2.1 billion in tax over the next three years.
In a further attack on primary producers, they face an increase of this tax of 189 per cent.
Meanwhile, power prices are set to more than double in the next five years, even if Labor meets its unrealistic renewable energy targets. Power prices have increased 22 per cent since 2021, with the average household’s bill costing $1667.
So it’s more than just the cost of a loaf of bread at the local grocery store, Victorians continue to put their hand in their pocket to pay for Premier Allan’s reckless spending.
Labor can’t manage money and regional Victorians are paying the price.
