Reports of yet another tragic death due to failings in Victoria’s health and ambulance system are devastating.
It is reported today that Ambulance Victoria has launched a review after a 36 year old man tragically died after waiting for an estimated 22 minutes for an ambulance, seven minutes outside the response target.
According to research published in the Australian Medical Journal, at least 70 Victorians died due to ambulance delays in 2018.
Shadow Minister for Health, Georgie Crozier, said this latest death was heartbreaking.
“Daniel Andrew has been Health Minister or Premier for almost 12 of the past 16 years”, Ms Crozier said.
“Fixing the health crisis will be the number one priority of a Liberals and Nationals Government.”
“We will shelve the $35 billion Cheltenham to Box Hill rail line and direct every available cent into health, including training and employing an additional 40,000 nurses and midwives, and investing an additional $125 million into fixing the triple zero crisis.”
“The only way to fix the health crisis is to vote Liberals and Nationals.”
