This policy will scrap Labor’s 7.5% tourism tax to make holidays affordable and support regional businesses.

The Liberals and Nationals will scrap Labor’s Emergency Services Property Levy (ESVF) – a tax that rips $765 million a year from Victorian families, farmers and small businesses under the guise of supporting emergency services. Labelled a “land tax by stealth,” Labor’s new levy has doubled or in some cases tripled charges for property owners across the state, with primary producers hit hardest.

We have pledged not to introduce new taxes or increase charges, helping families amid a cost-of-living crisis.

The Liberals and Nationals will scrap the Health Tax that increased GP costs and undermined bulk billing.

We will abolish payroll tax for all schools, cutting costs and red tape, and restoring parental choice in education.

We will reverse Labor’s ban on gas in new homes and support new gas exploration for energy security.
